Hidden Link Studios ("we," "our," or "us") is a trade name operated by Esguerra Enterprises L.L.C. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Early Chapters iOS application and related services.
We built Early Chapters to be a private, family-centered space — a digital memory keeper for the moments that matter most. We take your privacy seriously, especially because your content involves your children and family. Please read this policy carefully. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
This policy applies to adults who create accounts and use Early Chapters — parents, guardians, grandparents, and other family members. The App is not intended for direct use by children under 13, who may not create their own accounts.
Information you provide: Account details (name, email, password), profile information, child profile data (name, birthdate), photos and videos you upload, milestone notes and captions, family member email addresses for invitations, and messages you send us for support.
Automatically collected: Device identifiers, operating system version, app usage patterns, push notification tokens, and crash logs to help us diagnose technical issues.
From third parties: Apple provides subscription status confirmation after in-app purchases. RevenueCat shares subscription state and entitlement information to manage your access level. We do not receive your full payment details.
We use the information we collect to operate and maintain the App, authenticate your identity, store and deliver your memories, manage your family group, process your subscription, send service notifications, and respond to support requests. We analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve the App — not to target you with advertising.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your photos, videos, or personal memories for advertising or marketing purposes.
When you create or join a family group, content you upload may be visible to other group members. You control who you invite. Once added, a family member may view content shared in your group. If you remove someone, they lose future access — but we cannot guarantee removal of content they have already viewed or saved to their device. Please be thoughtful about who you invite.
Your data is stored through Supabase, a secure cloud infrastructure provider. We use encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and authentication protections. No method of storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@earlychapters.xyz.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days of your request, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Some residual data may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being purged.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@earlychapters.xyz. We will respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law.
California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA. EEA and UK users may have additional rights under GDPR.
Early Chapters is designed for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. Child profile information (such as a child's name and birthdate) is entered by a parent or guardian — the child does not create an account or interact directly with the App. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without parental consent, contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information.
Early Chapters is operated from the United States. If you access the App from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
